This CTAA Accredited Counselling course will teach qualified or aspiring counsellors about addiction, it's varying forms, and warning signs which may be present in addiction abuse. Addiction covers a wide array of complaints, including drug, alcohol, sex, gambling and you will learn not only how to help the client overcome their issues individually, but also techniques for advising family members as to the right approach to take when supporting those involved.
Anyone who suffers from alcohol or substance addiction knows how devastating the disorder can be. In the absence of help, addiction can destroy people’s lives and hold them back from good health and happiness. Addiction not only affects the person but also their family and loved ones.
This course is aimed at both fully qualified and aspiring counsellors who wish to specialise in addiction therapy or to add it to their existing counselling skills.
