This course will take you through how to manage a class of students without having to turn your lessons into an exercise of just discipline. You will learn how to apply discipline when it is needed but you will also learn a solid foundation for setting up your class in the best possible way so as to get the best of out your students and your lesson. You will also be guided through how to apply the correct rules and classroom routines at the right times to maximise your students' learning experience.
Your course instructor, Dr. Tracey Garrett, has an Ed. D. in elementary and early childhood education with a speciality in classroom management. Tracey gained her qualification from The Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University and is the author of Effective Classroom Management: The Essentials, recently published by Teachers College Press. She also recently won the University Distinguished Teaching award.
This course is designed for new or aspiring teachers who want to gain effective, proven techniques and tips for classroom management. However, it is also a great course for experienced teachers who would like to improve on their classroom management skills.
